The Right Solution for Your Property

Most Common

French Drain System

A perforated pipe buried in gravel that intercepts and redirects groundwater and surface runoff away from problem areas. The most effective solution for wet lawns, soggy planting beds, and water near foundations.

Underground Storage

Dry Well Installation

An underground chamber that collects and slowly disperses water into the surrounding soil. Ideal for managing downspout discharge, sump pump output, and surface runoff on properties with limited outlet options.

Whole-Property

Full Drainage Assessment

A comprehensive property evaluation that identifies all drainage issues, maps water flow patterns, and produces a complete drainage plan. Ideal for properties with multiple problem areas or persistent flooding.

Common Questions

Drainage FAQ

Why is my Long Island yard always wet after rain?

Long Island's clay-heavy soil has poor drainage capacity, and many areas have a naturally high water table. Combined with heavy rainfall, this creates standing water and soggy lawns. French drains and dry wells are the most effective long-term solutions.

How deep is a French drain?

French drains are typically installed 18–24 inches deep, sloped at a minimum 1% grade to direct water away from problem areas toward a dry well, storm drain, or daylight outlet.

Do you need permits for drainage work on Long Island?

Dry wells over a certain capacity require permits from Nassau or Suffolk County. We research all local requirements and handle permit applications as part of every drainage project.

How long does drainage installation take?

Most residential drainage projects — including French drain and dry well installation — complete in 1–3 days. Larger grading projects or full-property drainage systems may take longer.
